G-Clip describes an assembly of fastener parts, each containing three common parts. First is a G-Clips unique top for better holding strength. Second, a G-Clips patented bottom connects to the beam underside. A hex head cap screw connects the two, and its length suits the grating height being installed. G-Clip model RSSGC is a 316-stainless steel grating fastener used to fasten close-mesh bar grating to structural shapes, where the structural flange is in a horizontal plane. The unit has a unique narrow width to accommodate very narrow (3/8") grating slots. G-Clip model RSSGC consists of three parts. The principal part is the grip-jaw portion of the assembly. This grip-jaw is a US-made casting from stainless steel equivalent material. The second part is the stamped top, which fits flat over the grating upper surface. The round shape allows it to be used on almost any bearing bar configuration. The body and top are joined by the third part, a 1/4"-20 threaded bolt. This bolt varies in length to suit the application, always 1/4" shorter than the height of the grating.
