Full Face gaskets are a flat sealing element, consisting of an inner and outer diameter, and a specified number of bolt holes, the center of which are evenly spaced around a bolt circle. Full face gaskets are designed to fill the entire space between flat-faced flanges, with bolt holes that match the size and arrangement of the bolt holes in the intended flanges. ASME B16.21 and ASME B16.47 govern the dimensions of full face gaskets for standard and large diameter pipe flanges. Teadit Tealon TF 1570 is a restructured PTFE sheet manufactured by a unique process which provides a high level of fibrillation to overcome the creep relaxation and cold flow problems associated with normal (skived or molded) PTFE sheets. This style is produced from virgin PTFE resin filled with hollow glass micro spheres. Tealon TF 1570 is suitable for service with a wide variety of aggressive fluids, including hydrocarbons, acids, solvents, water, steam, hydrogen-peroxide, refrigerants, etc. The high compressibility of this style makes it particularly suitable for use with stress sensitive and/or fragile flanged joints, e.g. glass, ceramics, plastic, etc. The gasket material was tested to be in conformance with FDA requirements per Method 21 CFR 177.2260.
