G-Clip describes an assembly of fastener parts, each containing three common parts. First is a G-Clips unique top for better holding strength. Second, a G-Clips patented bottom connects to the beam underside. A hex head cap screw connects the two, and its length suits the grating height being installed. G-Clip model YSSGG is a 316-stainless steel grating fastener used to fasten 1-1/2" square mesh fiberglass grating to structural shapes where the structural flange is in a horizontal plane. Specially shaped top assembly is designed to fit 1-1/2" square mesh. G-Clip model YSSGG consists of three parts. The principal part is the body assembly, which has a female thread form in its upper portion. Body lower portion is die-stamped, with die-cut, toothed shape segments facing upward, which contact the underside of the structural member. The second part is the specially-shaped, stamped top, which fits into the grating upper surface and presses downward around the tops of the square. The body and top are joined by a 1/4"-20 threaded bolt, in proper length for the application.
