G-Clip describes an assembly of fastener parts, each containing three common parts. First is a G-Clips unique top for better holding strength. Second, a G-Clips patented bottom connects to the beam underside. A hex head cap screw connects the two, and its length suits the grating height being installed. G-Clip model XSSGG is a 316 stainless steel grating fastener used to fasten bar grating to metal or other structural shapes, where the structural flange is in a horizontal plane. The model "X" top is a rectangular-shaped top, and can fit a 3/4" wide slot between two bearing bars. Turned 90 degrees, it can fit a 1" slot. G-Clip model XSSGG consists of three parts. The principal part is the body assembly, which has a female thread form in its upper portion. Body lower portion is die-stamped, with die-cut, toothed shape segments facing upward, which contact the underside of the structural member. The second part is the rectangular-shaped, stamped top, which fits into the grating upper surface. The body and top are joined by a 1/4"-20 threaded bolt, in proper length for the application.
