Also known as eye bolts and swing bolts, rod ends can be cut to any length required. Rod ends appear similar to eye bolts, but have a thicker, smaller head in proportion to the body. They are designed to secure and suspend objects from anchor or pivot points. Rod ends are used in a multitude of applications such as steering, tensioning and controlling movement at pivot points. Made from drop forged 4140 alloy steel that is heat treated to ASTM A193 B7 specifications. Blank rod ends are available without threads or pre-drilled eye holes.
