Grade 8 Hex Nut, Plated

SAE J995 Grade 8 hex nuts are high-strength nuts manufactured from quenched and tempered carbon alloy steel. Grade 8 hex nuts are available in diameters from 1/4" through 1 1/2" inclusive. Dimensional specifications are governed by ASME B18.2.2. Grade markings include two circumferential lines located 60 degrees apart and the manufacturer's identification mark. Grade 8 hex nuts are commonly used on Grade 8 bolts. Available in zinc plated finish. Zinc plating sacrifices itself, corroding before the base material, offering added corrosion resistance.
