G-Clip describes an assembly of fastener parts, each containing three common parts. First is a G-Clips unique top for better holding strength. Second, a G-Clips patented bottom connects to the beam underside. A hex head cap screw connects the two, and its length suits the grating height being installed. G-Clip model GM-12 describes an assembly of fastener parts that can be used as a stable base on which to mount other devices to a grating surface. Assembly consists of a 1/2” stud about 3” long, which contains a patented bottom part that holds captive a 1/2″ nut. The top part is a generous-sized plate with a 1/2″ diameter threaded hole, which sits above the grating, and is tightened down to complete the fastener installation. This provides a remaining stud length above the grating onto which can be fastened devices as desired. Stainless steel fasteners are commonly used in applications that require general atmospheric corrosion resistance, such as chemical and food processing equipment. Stainless steel has a higher corrosion resistance than carbon steel.
